One-off Booking

From Friday Afternoon until Sunday luchtime or (from any afternoon, over next day and through to lunchtime next day), cost will be $1000.00. A further $350.00 bond needs to be paid as well, plus another $100.00 for Cold Room Hire. (The bond will be returned if all rules are ahered to.)

How to Book

  1. Please check the Booking Calendar on our website for hall availability of the date(s) you are requesting.
  2. In all cases of a proposed hire, please contact the Bookings Officer. Information available on the Contact Us page.

Key Arrangements

Key access is via the door at the top of the ramp at the left, or car park side. The front doors do not have key access.

By arrangement, keys can either be picked up from the Bookings Officer, or the Officer will meet the hirer at the hall. For key return after a one-off function, please place the keys in the “Key Return” slot in the outside wall near the entrance doors (Ramp side). For regular or permanent booking hire, a set of keys will be signed out to the hirer.

Payment Arrangements

  • For a one-off function booking, a deposit fee of 50% of the total hire cost needs to be forwarded to the Hall bank account, or posted to the address below. A booking is confirmed when a deposit has been received. The balance due must be receivedat least 4  weeks before the proposed hire date(s). Should a deposit not be received within a reasonable time after the request is made, the date will be made available to other hirers.
  • For an ongoing weekly booking such as a class, payment is by arrangement with the Bookings Officer. However, the first months hire needs to be paid in advance, and monthly in advance thereafter. A set of hall keys will be signed out to the new hirer when payment is made. Security of the keys is the responsibility of the holder. Loss of a set of keys incurs a hefty fee to have all locks and keys replaced. Currently this is $450.

Cheque

Post a cheque for the appropriate amount, made out to “Canungra School of Arts Inc” and include an explanatory note detailing the day or period paid for.

Money Order

Post an Australian Money Order (available at the Post Office) made out to “Canungra School of Arts Inc”, and include an explanatory note, including the date booked.

Cancellations

For a ‘spot’ or 1 off function booking, a deposit may be refunded if the hirer cancels the booking MORE THAN 4 weeks before the requested date(s).

For regular bookings, that is, an ongoing class daily, weekly or monthly booking, a no-show booked date must be paid for.

Please Note

It is a condition of hire that the hall MUST be left in a clean and tidy condition. This includes all bins emptied (including the kitchen and toilet waste paper bins), chairs and tables neatly stacked where found, and the floors cleaned. Turn off all lights and fans, and ensure that the hall is locked and secure.
